A Building Full of Cats Review
A building Full of Cats is a cute little indie game that was developed by 3 humans and 5 cats, also known as Devcats. It’s a very simplistic game, where your only goal is to travel to different floors of a building and find all the cats, in which there are 300+ cats, plus more hidden cats to be found. The art style for the game is simple but aesthetically pleasing, the music is very relaxing to listen to and the message of the game is very sweet, as the game promotes adopting cats instead of buying and includes the message “Life is better with cats. Adopt, don’t shop” which is something we can all agree with.
I thoroughly enjoyed playing this game, as I found the game to be challenging but relaxing and I experienced a little dopamine boost whenever I found a cat. I loved that the cats changed colour when you found them and the colours integrated well into the colour scheme, so it was visually pleasing to look at. I bought this game when it was on offer for £1.32 on Steam and finished the game in under an hour. I would have happily paid for this game when it wasn’t on offer, as it was well worth the money and the time played. It’s a nice game to just sit and relax to and my only criticism would be I wish it was longer.
Would I recommend this game? Absolutely! Even at the full price of £1.65, it’s such a cute relaxing game to play if you like hidden object games and adore cats. Plus, it’s worth it to see the cats who helped develop this game as they are cute af.
