52 in 52 - Second Update
This is the second checkpoint of three in the 52 in 52, coming in at the end of Week 35. The final update/overall review will be at the start of January next year. Here’s how things are looking with less than half my time left:

Second Checkpoint of the three, already past the halfway mark. Unsurprisingly, I’m behind schedule still. Despite getting more in this section of the challenge than the last (11 compared to 9), I’m even further behind on the challenge as a whole. I’m not sweating it though.
There was the usual road blocks with changing shift schedules, general tiredness as well as brief spots of being unwell that put the brakes on playing. The Elden Ring DLC coming out also took roughly 100 hours from me this past couple of months.
The real stinger is the number of games I gave up on that could have been Plats or time spent getting other ones. In the first 18 weeks, there was 3 of these. In this most recent 17 weeks, there 8 of them. Games I sunk time into that I just didn’t gel with in the end.
Last year, in a longer timeframe than the one I have now, I got 19 Platinums. I realise there’s a fair jump from 19 to the 33 I still need, but I have faith. I’ve said before and it needs repeating that I’m not looking for shovelware plats. Some are going to be easier and quicker than others but I am still trying for legitimate games.
