Smaller Xbox Ports I want to see

So it’s official. After the months of rumours about HI-FI Rush and Sea of Thieves, then Starfield, then the rumour mill exploded. Now we have official confirmation - 4 Games (Presumed to be HI-FI Rush, Pentiment, Sea of Thieves and Grounded. Phil didn't rule out future games coming to other platforms, so the skies the limit. Of course I could talk about being excited to see Halo or Gears of War on Playstation, or upcoming games like Indiana Jones or South of Midnight, but really it’s the smaller games I’m looking forward to seeing. Here’s my list:

Quantum Break (Remedy Entertainment)

Technically not part of the new Remedyverse that's forming around Alan Wake and Control but with Remedy in the spotlight, Quantum Break would do better now than it ever did on its launch back when Remedy didn't hold the weight it does now.

Alan Wake: American Nightmare (Remedy Entertainment)

On the same vein as Quantum Break, the Alan Wake spinoff title would do better now than ever before thanks to the excellent Alan Wake II. Admittedly if it didn’t get ported alongside AW remastered, I’m not sure if it ever will but it would be nice to have them all in one place. American Nightmare itself is a really fun time and fits perfectly into the refreshed narrative in AW2.

Redfall (Arkane)

Yes, really.

Critically maligned by outlets and players alike, rather unsurprisingly - a coop live service shooter is far out of the wheelhouse of immersive simbpowerhouse Arkane. Despite that, I still want to try it, having it alongside the other Arkane titles Like Dishonored and Deathloop.

Rare Replay (Rare)

Particularly: Viva Pinata/Trouble in Paradise, Kameo: Elements of Power, Banjo Kazooie. I don't necessarily have a good reason for this other than these are games I either enjoy or want to try.

Recore (Armature Studios)

I bounced off of Recore when I first tried it and that’s a shame. I’ve been meaning to go back to it and give it another go to see if it’s a me problem or the game. A port would be the perfect chance.

Dead Rising Case 0, Case West, 3 (Capcom)

This is more up to Capcom rather than Microsoft, and save for a potential Resident Evil 2 style Remake or reboot, Dead Rising seems… well, dead.

The series sits in an awkward spot with 1, 2, Off the Record and 4 being on all platforms, but the two standalone episodes of 2 and the third game are exclusive to Xbox. It'd just be nice to see the series all in one place.

Sunset Overdrive (Insomniac Games)

Thanks to unfortunate leaks, we know Sunset Overdrive isn’t on the cards for Insomniac. That being said, it’d probbably be an easy game to remaster and send out in some downtime in the playstation line up and I for one would love to play it.

Who knows, maybe this time next year we’ll see all of these games on other platforms. It’s just a waiting game...
