5 Games I really want to see hit PS+ Premium

With rumours of Secret Agent Clank being on the list of PS+ Classics to come and Sly Cooper 2 and 3 looking to be out before the end of the year, the Premium tier of Sony’s service looks like it’s finally worth a lick of salt. The consumer is ever hungry for more though, these are the games I want to see added to the system.

Of the options, two likely, two wild cards and one that could be real special. It would have been easy to say the Insomniac Spyro trilogy or all of the Naughty Dog Crash Bandicoot games, but this is a touch more realistic.

Monsters Inc: Scare Island

If Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue! is Jade’s PS1 Disney platformer of choice then for me, it’s Monsters Inc: Scare Island. Absolutely banging soundtrack mixed with 12 unique and interesting levels with not half bad platforming make it a favourite of mine. It’s not nostalgia either, I played as recently as a couple years ago and had a great time.

A Dog’s Life and Wallace and Gromit in Project Zoo

I’m putting these two together because I have the vaguest of memories of both games, the latter I’m not even sure I played – I may have watched a brother’s friend play it. They’re both weird in the sense that due to their nature as smaller budget obscurer PS2 games, they’ll either never appear on the service or they’re a shoe in to be the recipient of the “Who asked for this?” questions. Me. I asked for this.

Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith

Revenge of the Sith is my favourite Star Wars film and might very well be my favourite movie of all time, top 3 easily, yet I’ve never actually played the game. The videogame adaptations of Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones is on the service so I’d wager it’s only a matter of time before this one gets added too.

Rayman Revolution

In the deepest depths of my heart, I manifest a best case scenario – Rayman Revolution: 20th Anniversary Edition. A remaster or remake of the game. Worst case scenario, it’s just another port of the game. “Worst” in quotes there because I’d love to have any version of the game ported. Ubisoft have ported it more times than Bethesda have with Skyrim (which is an article I intend to write), so to have it on modern systems would just feel right.

BONUS: Resident Evil Trilogy

This isn’t as farfetched an idea as one might think. Sony have a good relationship with Capcom, entrusting them with the VR versions of Resident Evil Village and 4 Remake. The Director’s Cut version of the original game is currently available on the service and all three games of the original trilogy are heading to GOG in the coming months. A port to playstation certainly wouldn’t go amiss.

Will these games come to the service? Who knows really but I would play every single one of them if they did.
